Life’s challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed, lost, and unsure of how to move forward. Therapy could be the opportunity you’re looking for to help you discover new insights, learn skills, and enter the next phase of your life with courage and resilience.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and psychotherapist-in-training, I offer a warm, collaborative space where we will explore your story with care and curiosity. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection — with ourselves, with our culture, and with others.

I have a special affinity for working with: - Survivors of gender-based violence, including sexual assault and abuse in families and relationships; - University students and professionals navigating life, identity, work, and relationship pressures; - Couples and family members who want to break free of repeating harmful patterns in their relationship.

Our work together will move at your pace and will focus on what matters to you. Modalities that may inform our process include: traumatic memory processing, cognitive restructuring (CBT), values clarification (ACT), somatics (body work), nervous system regulation, and fostering secure relationship connections (EFT). I am working toward certification in EMDR and would be happy to explore this with you as treatment for trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, or grief.

As an Asian-Canadian, cisgender, bi/pan individual, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and walks of life, including trans and other LGBTQ2S+ folks.

If you’re looking for support rooted in empathy, attunement, and humour, I invite you to connect with me. I would be honoured to accompany you on your journey.

Life can feel heavy at times - whether you’re coping with trauma, grieving a loss, or navigating the complexities of parenting. Maybe you’re dealing with anxiety that keeps your mind racing, stress that never seems to ease and sleepless nights that leave you feeling empty, worn down and disconnected. You might be grieving a loss, adjusting to a major life change or parenting a child with special needs who experiences the world in their own way. Or perhaps, you are neurodivergent yourself, navigating a world that often misunderstands you. You love deeply, care fiercely and often put your own needs last. You are allowed to ask for help and take care of yourself, too. Reaching out for support is a powerful first step to feeling lighter and more in control.

As a psychotherapist-in-training, my approach is neuro-affirming, grounded in compassion, understanding and real-life experience. As both a therapist and a parent, I understand how overwhelming it can feel to juggle emotional demands, family needs and your own well-being. I support individuals and parents through trauma, grief, and the challenges that come with raising and loving neurodivergent children. One of my areas of focus is working with neurodiversity, whether you are a parent to a neurodivergent child who is autistic, has ADHD, any other unique needs, or are neurodivergent yourself.

Prior to my Master’s, I completed a BA in the Social Science field through Brock University and completed the Trauma and Addiction program through Algonquin College. I’ve spent years supporting people in crisis at the Distress Centre Niagara, The Ottawa Hospital as a Behaviour Therapist, and in group homes with individuals living with acquired brain injuries. Beyond these roles, I provide respite support for families raising neurodivergent children with complex special needs.  In our sessions, I offer a safe, down-to-earth space to slow down, process and rebuild. Together, we will work toward easing emotional distress, discovering new coping strategies and creating more balance and self-compassion in your everyday life.

If you’re ready to take this next step toward healing and feeling more like yourself again, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

Life transitions, ongoing stress, and experiences of loss can leave you feeling off‑course in ways that are hard to put into words. They can show up in your body, mood, relationships, and sense of self, and you may notice that you no longer feel like yourself. In therapy, I aim to offer a steady, grounded space where we can listen closely to what you are carrying, make sense of how past and present are connected, and support you in moving toward what feels most authentic and right for you—you know yourself best.

My clinical interests include working with adults and older adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, grief and mourning, chronic stress, or major life transitions. I also have a particular interest in supporting parents—including new parents, seasoned parents, and sandwich‑generation caregivers—as they navigate the emotional layers of caring for others while trying to stay connected to themselves.

My approach integrates contemporary psychodynamic and attachment theories, a biopsychosocial perspective, and Internal Family Systems, along with practical tools from CBT and solution‑focused work when they are helpful. In practice, this means we may explore how early experiences and relational patterns shape your current struggles, while also paying attention to present‑moment sensations in the body and to the broader social and cultural context of your life. I view social location and intersectionality as central to mental health and am committed to ongoing cultural awareness and self‑reflection. I strive to offer an affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ clients, and I welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities into my practice.

Clients tend to experience me as warm, open, and nonjudgmental. I am collaborative and reflective, and I invite us to move at a pace that feels safe for you as we bring what has been in the shadows into the light with care and curiosity.

Life events, traumas, big and small, can really throw you off course and leave a lasting impact. They may affect you at many levels including mentally, emotionally, and physically. These experiences can taint how you perceive yourself and others, negatively impact your relationships and your work, and it can be hard to break away from their hold on you. You might come to realize that you are not living your best life and wish you could feel like yourself again. It would be great to feel resilient and be able to live life more intentionally. And this is exactly what I hope to help you with.

My areas of focus as a bilingual Registered Psychotherapist for 15 years include anxiety, depression, challenging life transitions, grief, post-concussion syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder and complex PTSD, sleep difficulties, relationship issues, and stress management. Since 2007, I have been specializing in treating various forms of trauma, both recent and past, with a broad spectrum of clients including BIPOC and LGTBQ2S+ clients. I believe traumas are a result of events, big or small, that can leave lasting emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual impacts. We often hear of the ‘big’ traumas, but every day events such as bullying, childhood neglect, rejection, injuries, or a medical diagnosis can all have a traumatic effect on a person.

I am a psychodynamic, client-centred therapist. I integrate complementary methodologies to offer a personalized approach tailored to each person. I often include EMDR, Brainspotting, somatic and parts work, and CBT therapies to my intervention. With compassion and understanding, I aim to create an inclusive space and work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and address personal life challenges.
